Delayed Gratification

Before Drake's 'Fancy, there was this one, which I learned of by way of DJ Soul's 'No Idea's Original'.
This is the slowest builder ever, by the last minute its seriously good, but then the last 20 seconds - wow, who else is producing R&B on this level?

(Sadly his lyrics are not up to par, but the production, just sublime.)

This was a great book, made me nostalgic for a NYC before my time, when a giant loft on 23 St could be had for $200, and you could run into Jimi Hendrix or Andy Warhol on the street. When being an artist in Manhattan was possible, without having a full-time job.
